We are ISA Certified Arborists, ASCA consulting arborists, and trained ecologists serving West Michigan’s needs for industry-leading, science-based tree care practices. Services include diagnostics of disease/pest issues, consulting for integrating tree species into landscape design, tree preservation in construction, Tree Risk Assessments, proper maintenance for tree health and human safety, and much more.

Trees are green infrastructure that has been historically undervalued and undermanaged. Trees can provide some of the most important ecosystem services at relatively low cost and low risk. Yet this is only true when they are properly managed, and our trees face unprecedented threats this century. High quality trees uniquely improve property values through curb appeal, building energy efficiency, stormwater and heat management, wildlife habitat and corporate image. We help people and organizations leverage the enormous potential of trees to improve the lives of people and the quality of our region’s environment.

Our vision is to be at the forefront of identification and management of invasive pest/disease issues that imminently threaten our urban and rural forest resources. These changes threaten to turn our forests from carbon sinks into net carbon sources to the atmosphere, while simultaneously reducing the resilience of our cities in the face of global changes. Research and better management are crucial to keep trees on our side. We also manage wood biomass for re-utilization, waste minimization, displacement of the need to harvest virgin resources, and toward concepts of highest and best use and a circular economy.
