City of Grand Rapids
The City of Grand Rapids is responsible for a variety of functions, including an extensive range of core services such as police and fire protection, water and sewer services, street construction and maintenance, and tax collection. The City will continue to provide these services while doing its part to promote economic prosperity, ensure social equity, and protect the integrity of the natural environment for all citizens. To the best of its ability, the City of Grand Rapids will function as a sustainable organization and community. They will be successful in this “Triple Bottom Line” approach using City leadership, partnerships with others, and the commitment of its citizens to accomplish the outcomes outlined in the Plan.
