Valuating the social dimension of corporate performance is both difficult and vital, particularly as more and more businesses commit to promoting sustainable business practices. In this session, Anil Singh-Morales shares his experiences as both a founder of non-profits and overseeing the internationalization of vendor relations for Microsoft. He will provide insights on the social dimensions of the triple bottom line and what it means to have a human capital focus in today’s global business environment. Dialogue will include the ethical considerations for outsourcing that support sustainable practices and how compassion supports a sound business strategy. This session is offered in collaboration with the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and Cascade Engineering.

About Anil Singh-Molares

anilBorn in the Netherlands and raised in Europe and the U.S., Anil Singh-Molares is a global citizen and businessperson. From 1991 to 2003, Singh-Molares advanced from managing a Microsoft foreign language team to overseeing all internationalization vendor relations for the global software leader. Winner of the Microsoft Achievement award, he negotiated all contracts related to internationalization vendors, giving him a deep understanding of international business as well as the pros and cons of outsourcing.

Singh-Molares now runs his own international services company, Echomundi LLC, and has founded two non-profits, the Preeclampsia Foundation and the Compassionate Action Network (now merged with the Charter for Compassion International). He creates major international events and conferences and is a transformational consultant, helping people and organizations become their best, truest selves.

Anil Singh-Molares’ week-long installation at Davenport University is part of the Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow program and was made possible by grant funding from the M.E. Davenport Foundation.
