Drummond Carpenter provides technical services in four practice areas – Green Infrastructure & Sustainable Site Design, Water Resources, Numerical Modeling, and Environmental Assessment & Remediation. Stormwater management plans and performance monitoring are necessary for communities struggling with issues related to flood control, water quality, combined sewers, and permit compliance. Sustainability master plans assess current and future social, economic, and environmental conditions as communities deal with asset management, economic stagnation, and resource management.

Drummond Carpenter expertise ranges from conceptual site design based on community forums to hydrologic modeling of structural green infrastructure for improved sustainable watershed management to monitoring for the establish stormwater treatment effectiveness. The Green Infrastructure & Sustainable Site Design service area is led by Dr. Carpenter. Dr. Carpenter is an accredited green design professional and professional engineer whose expertise includes green infrastructure, stormwater best management practices (BMPs), hydrologic modeling and design, and community engagement. He has 20 years of experience working with diverse clients on engineering and research projects. As a NCI Certified Charrette Facilitator, he has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, community outreach, and planning. His efforts include facilitated community implementation of green infrastructure and the overseeing the development of community socio-economic sustainability plans. Dr. Carpenter routinely provides community workshops, professional lectures, and short courses on green infrastructure design and implementation. He is supported by Chad Drummond. Chad served has Chair of the Water Resources Practice Group for a leading A/E firm with projects across the United States. Projects included assessing and design stormwater BMPs, enhancing water availability and supply, and protecting/restoring water quality. He also serves as Editor for the Currents newsletter of the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineering.
