Sara Yob, Associate Professor, Workforce Trainer, Grand Rapids Community College

Sara’s role at Grand Rapids Community College is teaching in non-credit training, primarily onsite in manufacturing facilities, on content ranging from basic manufacturing readiness content, like print reading and problem solving  to automotive quality tools and techniques. Sara led the first team to a win in the Armen Innovation Awards, for changes to GRCC’s ride share policy. Started a workplace garden in partnership with the local Grand Rapids Public Schools elementary school. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and MA in Environmental Education. Sara is also a Certified Quality Engineer and MSUE Master Gardener. GRCC has been a WMSBF member for many years. Sara believes our work environment may be our greatest learning opportunity as adults. As an educator, she thinks example and education at work is a powerful force to change the world.

Sara began serving on the WMSBF Board of Directors in 2015.
