Holland Board of Public Works Business Services Director Dan Nally has been named Newsmaker of the Year in the Sustainability category by the Grand Rapids Business Journal. Nally was recognized for his leadership in building a sustainable, affordable and reliable energy future for the Holland community.
Dan Nally joined Holland BPW in 2007. He has been the driving force behind the development of the next generation of power generation in Holland. Nally lead the Sustainable Return on Investment study that sought a solution to meet the communities need for sustainable, affordable, and reliable energy. The result of the study pointed to a combined cycle natural gas power plant.
The Grand Rapids Business Journal annually recognizes people behind the headlines that shaped West Michigan over the last year. Awards are given out in 16 categories with the Newsmaker of the Year being selected from among those winners.
